Volunteer at St Kilda LSC
You do not need lifesaving experience to help. Start socially, meet people, and help out in a way that suits you.
Volunteering at St Kilda Life Saving Club is simple, social and genuinely enjoyable. We view volunteering as something that fits into your life rather than taking it over.
It’s also one of the easiest ways to feel connected to a local community and make a real difference at the same time. You might help at a BBQ and find yourself in relaxed conversations with new people. You might support a community event and feel part of the energy that brings the club to life. You might assist with Nippers and see kids growing in confidence while becoming part of a friendly network of families on the beach. You might take photos, help with social media, join a working bee, assist with fundraising, or lend a hand with simple administration tasks.
There is no expectation that you arrive knowing everything. There is no pressure to commit every weekend or sign up to a roster straight away. Most people start simply by coming along, seeing what feels right, and discovering where they naturally fit.
What makes volunteering valuable here is not just what gets done, it’s who you meet while doing it, and the sense of belonging that grows from being involved in something local and connected.
Every role, big or small, helps the club. And every role is another way to become part of a community that’s right on your doorstep.
