Come as you are.
Find your friends.
Enjoy the club.

No lifesaving experience needed - just a welcoming beach club where you can meet people, enjoy social activities, help out when you’re ready, learn new skills and get involved at your own pace.

St Kilda Life Saving Club is more than a lifesaving club. It’s a place where the community can come together. It’s for families looking for shared experiences, kids building confidence in and around the water, volunteers wanting to contribute in a meaningful way, lifesavers committed to keeping our beach safe, and locals or community groups who simply want to feel more connected to where they live.

You don’t need to have any experience with lifesaving to be a part of the club. You might start by coming along to a relaxed BBQ, joining a social night, taking part in a beach walk, helping out at Nippers, dropping into an open day, or simply trying one of our community activities. These are easy, low-pressure ways to meet new people who live in the community and enjoy the offerings of the local area.

Some people may choose to become lifesavers, whilst others may become part of the social life of the club. Many simply enjoy being part of a welcoming, local community by the beach.

Whether you’re in the water, on the sand, around the clubhouse, or helping behind the scenes, there is a place for you, a role for you, and a group of people ready to welcome you in.

  2. Venue hire – Host a celebration, corporate event, community gathering or special occasion by the beach while supporting the club.
  3. Families and Nippers – A fun beach program for children, with a welcoming pathway for parents to meet people, help out and become part of the club.
  4. Volunteers and members – Help at events, BBQs, working bees, fundraising, communications, administration, community activities or club projects when the time feels right.
  5. Community groups and local partners – Connect your school, group, organisation or local network with the club through beach safety, events, visits and community activities.
  6. Lifesaving and patrol pathways – Start with no experience, build confidence over time and explore training when you are ready. Already qualified? We would love you to join and help us build our crew.
